Being Emotionally Intelligent When Others Aren’t. How Mature Leaders Balance Authority with Collaboration


Description:  This program will teach you how to share what you know in ways other people experience as supportive and respectful is essential to successfully balance your authority with their collaboration. Practical tools for facilitating the inevitable disagreements among teams and co-workers will be presented by award winning speaker, trainer and author, psychologist Dr. Rob Pennington, this entertaining, insightful presentation is based on decades of study and personal experience struggling with the challenges and opportunities of how best to lead in ways others want to follow.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Increase engagement by Ending Conflict with 3 Questions©.
  • Hear more than is being said by confirming the role emotion plays in the 5 Levels of a Clear Communication©
  • Apply the Team Decision Flowchart© when facilitating team disagreements.
  • Increase collaboration without sacrificing one’s authority
