Topic:  As an employee or manager of the L&D department, sometimes the value of what you do is not clearly communicated to both internal and external customers or partners. Discovering and communicating the unique value of L&D/OD department is critical to winning interdepartmental challenges, building better relationships across the organization, adding strategic value to your organization, and getting noticed by executive management. With unique value, you will be able to gain additional resources, increase the awareness of your learning initiatives, and serve as the champion to help others see and realize just how hard your department works and contributes to the organization’s mission. Value brings voice to your department! Therefore, the L&D/OD department must seek to offer value and to design a learning experience that delivers the highest return on investment.

  • Let wait staff know you are there for the ATD Houston lunch event.
