GENERAL MEETING - Implementing Sustainable Talent Management and Learning Processes

So you know you want to create talent processes, and you may even have a roadmap to get there. Now what do you do? The road to effective talent management can appear long and daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! In our session, we will share case studies where we worked with executive teams, operations leaders, and HR colleagues to implement talent management and learning foundations in several companies. Concepts covered will include: how to stage implementation, build stakeholder buy-in, align talent initiatives with the flow of business, keep the processes simple but strategic, effectively link talent and learning plans, and engage employees with effective processes. Session participants will become part of the action as they make talent decisions in realistic talent scenarios during this presentation. Regardless of the talent or learning systems used (from pen and paper to HCM systems), these techniques will help participants create a talent management strategy that links their people to strategic goals, development plans, and succession pipelines.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES

  • Share lessons learned leading these efforts at several companies
  • Highlight stakeholder engagement activities to build momentum
  • Discover effective change management techniques to aid in user acceptance
  • Understand key foundational elements to include in talent management and learning processes
  • Detail a realistic implementation timeline
  • Provide follow up resources to help participants plan for action regardless of company size or stage.
