Harnessing ChatGPT for Writing Effective Learning Content

Shannon's Handout: ChatGPT CheatSheet.pdf

In this conference session, we will delve into the fascinating world of using ChatGPT to write effective learning content. To begin with, we will comprehensively explore the capabilities and limitations of ChatGPT as a tool for generating learning content. Understanding these aspects is crucial for leveraging ChatGPT optimally in the content creation process.

Next, we will uncover strategies for structuring AI to create learning objectives that align with the intended outcomes and target audience. By implementing these strategies, participants will learn how to design learning objectives that effectively leverage ChatGPT's capabilities while catering to specific learning goals.

Furthermore, we will focus on developing skills in customizing and fine-tuning ChatGPT to generate tailored learning outlines and content suggestions. Participants will learn techniques for tailoring ChatGPT's output to meet specific content requirements, ensuring the generated outlines align with the desired learning outcomes.

As part of the discussion, we will also review alternative content creation tools such as SessionLab. By examining different tools available, participants will gain insights into their features and benefits, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding content creation approaches.

Moreover, we will explore the practical side of content creation by guiding participants through the process of creating a content design document using a sample training request form. This exercise will provide hands-on experience in translating training requests into well-structured learning content, incorporating the insights gained from ChatGPT and other tools.

By the end of the session, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to harness ChatGPT effectively for writing learning content. They will also leave with a ChatGPT Cheatsheet to help kick-off future learning designs.
