How L&D strongly supports the business through the use of simulations
Hilti, as any other global organization, continues to strive for success in a world that continues to push us to Evolve. A few years ago and with this in mind, our business leadership team decided to define & refine a clear go-to market approach: Systematic Account Development, as a key part of our Corporate Strategy – we called this the “Evolution” program, rolled out in 2020 during the pandemic.
Many pieces were required to make this program the success it is right now. One of the key success factors was and is the enablement of our team leaders as they were the ones required to steer their business in a new way. How can we from L&D support equipping them for action before they actually do it, reaching them both virtually and physically? Together with the business and understanding the needs, we decided an approach based on a full fleshed Simulation rolled-out globally to all our Market Reach Managers (Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, etc.) with great adoption, clear results and, last but not least, recognized by Brandon Hall through 2 awards: Gold for Best Sales Leadership Development Program and Silver for Best Use of Games or Simulations for Learning.
