What is knowledge management? Does every company use it the same way? If I want to incorporate knowledge management at my company, how would I build a business case?

Knowledge management is a growing area under the talent development umbrella, but not many fully understand why it exists or how to begin implementing the department. We will learn from a man who sees talent management from the backbone (software) side of knowledge management.

Learner Objectives:

  • Communicate different purposes of knowledge management.
  • Business case for knowledge management and why it is a people solution that uses IT.
  • Explore some basic techniques that those in training positions may be able to apply through a couple of scenarios and group discussion.
Speaker:  Jason Biggs holds a MA in Behavioral Sciences with a focus on Industrial / Organizational Psychology. He has a particular interest in talent development. After graduate school, he spent his time coaching individual contributors and entry level managers. He is currently a project manager at OverNite Software. His current position centers around developing the process side of an innovative approach to a knowledge management solution.
