“Increasingly, the best sources of insight about strategy — specifically, strategy for your company — lie dormant within the company itself, in its employees.” — Teppo Felin

“Strategic Futuring” is a future-focused approach to leadership development that is creative, flexible, leverages strengths, opportunities, capacities, visions, and dreams. Strategic Futuring leverages an individual’s familiarity with trends, logic, modeling, simulations, planning, preparation, and flexibility.

This future-focused approach helps identify emerging opportunities and threats to allow emerging leaders to anticipate actions needed for desired outcomes and innovatively prepare for the future.

Value in Strategic futuring is derived from the knowledge and innovative approaches to leadership that accommodates future changes not necessarily considered in the mainstream.

Learner Objectives:

Upon completion of this Strategic Futuring session, participants will:

  • Learn the underlying principles and levels of strategic futuring in leadership;
  • Understand the value of strategic futuring in leadership development;
  • Identify the various models used in Strategic Futuring; and
  • Understand how Strategic Futuring can foster an ecosystem of innovative leaders.
