Webinar Description:  By now you've probably heard about Microlearning. But more often than not, Microlearning is described and identified only by its brevity - rather than its composition and impact. Join me for a deeper look at why Microlearning is so effective in today's workplace, how to create impactful Microlearning content, and how to deploy it as a learning strategy.

ATD Competency Model - Area of Expertise This Session Supports:  Performance Improvement, Instructional Design, Training Delivery,  Evaluating Learning Impact

Speaker:  As Chief Learning Officer at Grovo, Summer Salomonsen spearheads the company’s MicrolearningⓇ content and professional services capabilities, leading Grovo’s content strategy, learning experience, and design teams to continuously grow its adaptable and customizable MicrolearningⓇ library.

Previously, as Principal Consultant at Intrepid Learning, Inc., Summer won Gold in Brandon Hall’s 2017 Emerging Star Awards for her work crafting dozens of high-impact, modern learning experiences rooted in cognitive science for leading global brands.

Prior to her work at Intrepid, Summer spent seven years managing and implementing corporate learning strategy in the healthcare space with an emphasis on the development of management and clinical leadership initiatives, onboarding programs, and numerous digital deployments. Summer began her professional career in public education, teaching at the junior high, high school, and collegiate level.

Summer is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education in Organizational Change & Leadership from the University of Southern California, researching the critical need for innovative learning design models that move away from traditional, waterfall approaches to more agile, iterative creation. She is also currently a member of the ATD International Conference & Expo Program Advisory Committee, responsible for reviewing and approving the conference submissions within the Learning Technologies track. On the personal front, Summer is a lifelong learner, and enjoys studying language and practicing music from her home in Colorado.
