In this event, we will explore training and development options that integrate learning through experiences –similar to the learning collage of Brene Brown, Clayton Christensen and the Shark Tank.

Learner Objectives

In this session, attendees will:

  • Consider the value of experiential learning
  • Practice being vulnerable and observe how it gets quickly to the greatest opportunities for leadership development
  • Utilize the book “The Innovator’s DNA” to use those skills in designing training
  • Learn from what we have observed about how the Shark Tank drives growth in people
  • Discuss the integration glue (that is not a secret) that can bond different learning strategies

Speakers: Mike Goodfriend

Michael R. Goodfriend, Founder of Goodfriend & Associates, has more than twenty-five years of consulting experience as a Teamwork Engineer, Leadership Coach, and Meeting Facilitator.
Mike is the creator of the Teamwork Sharks Leadership Challenge, a Shark-Tank style leadership program. Mike is the author of Breakthrough Time, a time travel business novel about helping a client commercialize a revolutionary technology.
Mike has the highest level of certification for the Birkman Method and has coached thousands of people in using this model. Mike is also the leading implementer of a groundbreaking Birkman report called Birkman Mindset Report – to help senior leaders better influence the strategy conversation.

Previously, Mike was a Human Resources Manager with PwC in their Houston office. He started his career with the firm in the Audit practice and received an accelerated promotion to Audit Manager. Mike is a CPA.
